The painter's journey

Sunni Gibbons - Biography

 Statement

After many years of painting large watercolor flowers I am enjoying a new direction in my work.  It is still realistic but loosly painted and I have shifted the medium to oil. The field laborer subjects are a rich resource to study both the human form and the human condition. Having the opportunity of working closely with them in their work envoronment is an honor. These paintings are in the Farm Workers of the Central Coast collection. As a follow on to the field workers, the Farmer's Market series is a natural extension and one that I am still developing.
