The Limited Edition Giclee Print

The giclee printing method represents the most advanced technology in fine-art reproduction to date. The term giclee (pronounced zhee-CLAY) is a french term meaning “spray of ink.” Giclee prints are generated from high-resolution digital scans of original artwork and printed with archival-quality inks onto various surfaces including canvas and archival-quality watercolor paper. Originally developed as a proofing system for lithographic printing, the quality of the giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes commonly found in museums and galleries throughout the art world.

Once an image has been digitally scanned and archived, reproductions can be made individually and to almost any size. The Limited Edition allows the artist to control the number of prints produced from a given painting, thereby ensuring quality and exclusivity for the collector. Each giclee print comes with a hand-signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
